We opened Splendorporium Gallery in 2009 to give back to the community by hosting monthly art exhibits and other events.
After seeing the wonderful work our students in Art4Life had been making for several years, we felt they deserved a space to showcase their creations. Our Children’s Gallery, located at the back of our Main Gallery, remains Portland’s only exhibition space exclusively for youth.
We encourage local artists from all walks of life and working in all styles and media to submit recent work to our shows. We are an inclusive gallery intent on creating a space for unique self expression and community engagement.
Over the years Splendorporium has been home to some very special events. Before the pandemic, we were honored to host The Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse. During this biannual tradition, the monks would teach art to Art4Life students. We hope to have them back in the future. We also regularly host Pacific Pug Rescue’s Pug Yoga.
We are open Monday through Friday, 11 am to 5pm, except for legal holidays as we follow PPS’s schedule. We are also closed to the public the week leading up to First Fridays on which we have an opening, as that is the time in which we hang a show.
Feel free to swing by during our open hours or reach out to our gallery coordinator with any questions at splendorporium.art@gmail.
